Tasty Leftovers
The Lee Brothers

Cookbook authors Matt and Ted Lee have the perfect answer for leftover turkey - a no-waste recipe that will turn your cooked bird into something incredibly tasty.

The brothers Lee are the unofficial ambassadors for Southern Lowcountry cooking. These Charleston, South Carolina natives have written two books, Southern Cookbook and Simple Fresh Southern and have a mail-order catalogue for Southern specialty foods called The Lee Bros. Boiled Peanuts Catalogue.

Matt and Ted describe their recipe for Hominy Stew with Turkey and Pasilla Chilies:

"This is a close cousin of tortilla soup, and is it ever delicious! The wonderfully nutty and hearty corn flavor of hominy combines beautifully with the flavor of sun-dried pasilla peppers and turkey. The aroma rising from the pot is a reward all in itself with this dish, which we prepare not only on the day after Thanksgiving, but whenever the temperature drops and we get a craving for something spicy, nourishing and warm."
