From world-class to wallet-friendly, we've got an array of tasty finds, hidden haunts, and undiscovered watering holes. Our curated recommendations come from noted chefs and food world insiders, who take you off the beaten track and lead you to each city's most interesting markets, restaurants and bars.

If you're an intrepid traveler, let F.E.D. do the homework. We cut out the touristy joints and guide you right to the local treasures.

We begin with three cities, which are hosting events over the next few weeks:

CHARLESTON, SC

Charleston knows charm: horse-drawn carriages, Antebellum mansions, and grocery stores named Piggly Wiggly. The annual BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival kicks off on March 3rd and we'll send you in the right direction for mouthwatering Lowcountry cooking.

NEW ORLEANS, LA
