Summer Cocktail, Americano Style
Vergano Americano

What began as a chemist's concoction is now one of the best kept secrets on the liquor shelf and perfect for summer cocktails.

Vergano Americano is the brainchild of Mauro Vergano, whose day job was working for a perfume house. In his spare time, he tinkered with making chinato, the Italian fortified wine infused with botanicals. Vergano's home brews became so popular, he quit his day job to pursue his passion.

Today, Vergano Americano is one of the finest chinati on the market, made with organic Grignolino grapes from Piedmont. Mauro describes it as a cross between Campari and sweet vermouth.

Enjoy Vergano Americano the way Mauro likes it, as a summer aperitivo.
