Cafe Pasqual's chef Katharine Kagel moved to the "City Different," in the state known as the Land of Enchantment, back when the roads were dirt and the people were eccentric. Thirty-two years later, the roads have been paved, the people are still eccentric, and Katharine owns one of the top restaurants in Santa Fe.
Open seven days a week, Cafe Pasqual's serves organic New Mexican cuisine with a few Asian influences. This is a place where even the locals are willing to wait in line for menu items like Huevos Motuleños and Mole Enchiladas.
We asked chef Kagel to share her favorite markets, restaurants and watering holes in and around Santa Fe.
