The Ravenous Pig

This is a very farm-to-table driven gastropub. I opened the Ritz in New York on Central Park and worked with Gabriel Kreuther. I loved cooking his style of food, but our personalities weren’t for super fine dining and having to get dressed up. We wanted to give people options, so that’s what Ravenous is supposed to be. You can come and sit at the bar in flip-flops and have a burger or you can sit in the dining room for date night and get dressed up. We feature all-American beers on tap and have a pretty progressive cocktail program.

What To Order

For our regulars at Ravenous, we’re kind of famous for our Pub Burger because they like to have a real meal later in the week, but our Pork Porterhouse is one of our stables. It’s a big pork porterhouse. We brine it for a day, then we smoke it, and grill it with all kinds of different seasonings.

Cask & Larder

This is a big rambunctious place, a beer hall with good food. We really enjoy beer and preparing food with beer. We found an old warehouse type building, gutted it and decided to do Southern food with my twist, more of a Florida thing with a raw bar and everything that goes with beer.  This is more for the boisterous, celebratory type of occasion.

What To Order

Everybody’s in love with our new Ribeye Hot Dog. It’s definitely the late night go-to. We take all our ribeye scrap and make hotdogs out of it and do a funky smoked sauerkraut. We just put a Nashville Hot Chicken on the menu. I'm really obsessed with it right now. We have a big Southern Pride smoker and we sweet tea brine the chicken for two days, then we smoke it, pick it up in the fryer, and then toss it into a cayenne paprika glaze so it comes out black. We serve it with Alabama white barbecue sauce called Bama White. It’s one of the best things going!

East End Market

East End Market

This is based on the Ferry Building in San Francisco, but on a smaller scale. For anyone who’s interested in culinary and food, this is a must go-to market. A local guy bought an old church building and now there are seven food vendors here. There is a juice bar, a produce shop, a seafood shop, and some sandwich places. The local bread company is who we get our bread from for our restaurant and there's a Spanish tapas seafood place too.

Kabooki Sushi

This is owned by a young guy whose family owns a couple of Vietnamese restaurants. He is doing really creative things and always trying to push the limit. If you want a cool experience and not just traditional, then this is the place for you.

The Rusty Spoon

This is a gastropub from Kathleen Blake, who was a chef at Primo. Her food is really good. She is on the forefront of the farm-to-table around here. She changes the menu all the time, almost everyday. I always order new things, whatever is in season.

Cocktails at The Courtesy Bar

The Courtesy Bar

It is probably a thousand square feet and it’s a true speakeasy kind of wait for fifteen minutes to get a cocktail place, but it’s well thought out.

Lineage Roasting

They are in East End Market and we also serve their coffee at our restaurants. They do strictly pour overs and they’re really, really into coffee.
