I like the Fourth Regiment from “The Gentleman's Companion.”  It is a Manhattan cocktail with Angostura, orange, and celery bitters.

Yield

1 drink


Ingredients

- 1.5 oz Rittenhouse 100 rye (Turkey 101 rye works as well)

- 1.5 oz Carpano Antica Formula sweet vermouth

- 0.25 oz Boudier Curacao

- 2 dashes each of Angostura, orange, and celery bitters


Directions

1) Stir with large cold ice and serve in a chilled cocktail glass.

2) Zest a broad orange peel over the drink.
