Miami Like A Local Michelle Bernstein's Credentials
Michelle Bernstein
The Saints and the Colts may being going head-to-head on the football field this Sunday, but you can bet the real blood sport will be tourists vying for tables at various Miami restaurants. But why hit the tourist traps?

Award-wining chef Michelle Bernstein hooks us up with the best local places in Miami and a sure-fire way to avoid the rest of the 75,000 hungry fans.

Will you be doing anything special at your restaurants on Super Bowl Sunday?
Yes, closing for game day, so we can all go watch the game and eat chicken wings.

As a Miami insider, where are the best places to eat that we've never heard of?
  • Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish on the Miami River. It has the best whole grilled fish, and stone crabs that rival Joe's Stone Crab.
  • Fifi's Place for the most delicious fried fish, black beans and rice, and plantains ever.
  • La Camaronera for Cuban seafood. They have the best fried shrimp, hands down.

There are so many incredible ethnic foods in Miami, can you suggest any places that we should go out of our way to visit?
  • Hy Vong for Vietnamese.
  • Cote Gourmet for provençal French. It's super homey and funky.
  • Hiro's Yakko-San for Japanese tapas. It's also open until 2:00 am.
  • Ceviche 105 for amazing Peruvian.
