Teroforma Whisky Stones Teroforma Whisky Stones

Scotch aficionados can be a little snippy about putting ice in their sacred drams. But coolness can be had with the unique and manly solution provided by Teroforma's Whisky Stones.

Small rocks made from soapstone create ice-imitators. Pop them in the freezer for a few hours, then chill down your spirit without diluting or compromising your drink.

Andrew Hellman, one half of the husband and wife duo who are the driving force behind Teroforma, says he chose soapstone for both its natural softness (meaning it won't scratch your favorite scotch glass), and its ability to retain temperature for extended periods of time. The stones are made in Perkinsville, Vermont at the oldest soapstone workshop in the United States.

Andrew and his wife Anna have also developed collaborations between 22 artisans and designers in 14 different countries to make hand-blown glassware, hand-painted bone china, hand-carved tableware, and flatware that melds traditional techniques (using a hammer) with modern technology.

Their products tend to be sleek, well designed, and minimal with clean, elegant lines. And yes, they make great gifts for papa.
