'Fenitmans

Fentimans brews their sodas the old fashioned way.

Way back when... about a century ago, sodas were made with botanical ingredients like roots, bark and flowers and were meant to be healthy. Fentimans has never wavered from their original brewed recipe. With the exception of adding new flavors, they still make their sodas as they did back in 1905.

Ginger Beer is one of their original flavors with ginger root, juniper and yarrow extracts. Also look for Curiosity Cola, Victorian Lemonade, Dandelion & Burdock, Mandarin & Seville Orange Jigger, Tonic Water, and the Shandy - a British Soda that is 70% beer and 30% lemonade. But don't expect a buzz from the Shandy, it only has a .05% alcohol level.

The botanically brewed bold flavors are a perfect mixer too. Go full-on Brit with this cooling summer drink:

Pimm's No. 1 Cup

Ingredients:

  • 1 Orange, sliced into wedges

  • 1 Lemon, sliced into wedges

  • 1/2 Cucumber, sliced

  • 8 oz. Pimm's No. 1

  • 8 oz. Fentimans Ginger Beer

  • 4 - 6 Springs Mint

Directions:

  • Fill a pitcher 1/4 full of ice.

  • Layer orange, lemon and cucumber slices.

  • Repeat layering.

  • Pour Pimm's and Fentimans Ginger Beer over layers and mix with a long-handed spoon.

  • Poke mint springs and leave down into pitcher.

  • Garnish glass with pieces of fruit, cucumber, and mint leaves.
