Try: Ribolla Gialla

Why: On the Italian–Slovenian border, this vineyard has been producing wine for more than three centuries. Their organic Ribolla Gialla is a distinctive white wine with balanced acidity.

KELLER RIESLINGS

Recommended by: Sommelier Michael Madrigale & Wine Writer Talia Baiocchi

Try: Von Der Fels Trocken (meaning "from the rocks") or the basic Riesling Trocken

Why: Top-notch dry Rieslings with notes of peach, apples, citrus, minerals and bracing acidity.

Buy: $18 - $40, Von Der Fels Trocken Riesling, basic Riesling Trocken.

OCCHIPINTI

Recommended by: Sommelier Etheliya Hananova

Try: 2009 IGT Sicilia SP68 Bianco

Why: Known for her elegant red wines, this is winemaker Arianna Occhipinti's first white wine. It is naturally-made from indigenous Sicilian grapes producing an aromatic light-weight wine with a little tannin on the finish. Buy this before everyone else snaps it up.

Try: In Cot We Trust

Why: From the Loire Valley, this Cot (Malbec) is full of red berried fruit with notes of black pepper.

MARCEL LAPIERRE

Recommended by: Winemaker Arianna Occhipinti & Wine Importers Joe Dressner & Kevin McKenna

Try: 2009 Morgon Beaujolais

Why: One of the region’s stars, Lapierre was at the forefront of biodynamic winemaking in France. Light with cherry and cranberry fruits; it's refreshing, with fine tannins and crisp acidity.

VIO GIOBATTA

Try: Rossese Di Albenga

Why: A great bang for your buck bottle of wine. From Liguria, Italy, this floral, light red has hints of tea and pepper notes. Levi says, "Get it, be happy. Lovely, lovely wine."
