1 drink


Glass: Double Old Fashioned

Garnish: Lime Wheel

Ice: Kold-Draft


Ingredients

- 1.5 oz. El Tesoro Platinum Tequila

- 0.75 oz. celery juice

- 0.50 oz. lime juice

- 0.50 oz. Agave syrup

- 1 teaspoon Del Maguey Chichicapa Mezcal


Directions

1) Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker.

2) Add ice and shake.

3) Strain over ice into a Double Old Fashioned glass.

4) Garnish with a lime wheel.

Who

Michael Bowers is the head bartender at the Modern Hotel and Bar in Boise, Idaho.

Why

Michael Bowers has gained a following within the US mixology crowd for his classic and modern cocktails. Before becoming a bartender, Michael earned a degree in Music Theory and honors composer Arnold Schoenberg with a tattoo bearing his name on his right forearm.

Devil Heart

Yield

1 drink


Glass: Double Old Fashioned

Garnish: None

Ice: Large Rock


Ingredients

- 0.5 oz. Lemon Hart 151

- 6 to 7 medium-dark roast coffee beans

- 2 oz. Niesson Rhum Agricole Vieux

- 0.125 oz. Demerara syrup

- 10 drops Angostura bitters


Directions

1) Place beans and Lemon Hart in a glass together.

2) Light Lemon Hart on fire and let burn for 20 seconds.

3) Add remaining ingredients and stir.

4) Strain over a large rock into Double Old Fashioned glass.
